I think I'lll write a bit now and then. I seems I'm incapable of writing novels. :(

The sound of breathing synced with the heartbeat of the exhausted woman; still, she kept running. In the dank stairwell, where the smell of dust and a terrible past clung to the air with lethal intent, the walls made a pattern of roses lining them from top to bottom almost in a pinstripe fashion. The woman couldn’t help but notice that as she ran down the flights of stairs, she wouldn’t be able to differentiate between those tiny rose buds or splattered blood on the wall. The thought of it terrified her, especially after what she had seen in the bathroom of her room.

Something like that could never be forgotten; a massive figure hunched over half a torso with dead skin decorating their lips as it chewed with gusto. She needed to get out of there and find help. She had been staying at an abandoned apartment complex ever since her company let her go and decided the jobs were better suited elsewhere in the world. With no one hiring and her bills never ending, she was forced to seek shelter where she could. It seemed like a perfectly good spot to live due to the circumstances.

But it seemed that no where she went could guarantee safety. And in this moment in time, as a startled and mortified woman ran down several flights of stairs in an abandoned apartment complex with rose decorated walls, her sanity was no guarantee either.

Short narrative for my friend (unfinished, as always)

It was all a matter of having a dazzling smile to accompany a clever witticism when amongst the powerful. There was no other way the old man’s nephew could’ve made it that far into corporate. But that was the name of the game. There is no chance for dignity to remain intact so long as there is a promotion being hinted at. However in this company there is much more happening in the sub layers of the hierarchical infrastructure. Bonds were constantly being made; completing a new plot to leech off the system in order to grow stronger and one day challenge the current overseers.

One such group consisted of two young men, with two years of work experience under their belts. Both brilliant and ambitious, their serpent tongues weaved together a plan that had the potential to ruin the jobs of half the company but in the end turn profit in billions. None of them took a second to consider the morality of the scheme for in their eyes the ends would justify the means. They knew what must be done to become the top predator in this corporate jungle. And so they placed a single phone call.

It was answered by a woman, a soothing voice of a being at peace resonated from her lips as she made a guarantee to change these two individual’s lives forever. With the first step taken, the two men hung up and waited for the results to come. She would keep her promises. Then she would die. On the other side of the line the woman disrobed herself and sunk gracefully into a hot bath, allowing the heat to cling to her flawless ivory skin as she slowly let out a sigh of relief. She hadn’t had a customer in months and this break in the hiatus was welcome. She would once again prowl the underbelly of the chained beast of the corporate world and mold it to her customer’s wishes. She was the cog in the men’s plans, stained red and ready to be repainted.
